Knoxville Superior Mold Remediation is four people: the owner, his son and two techs who've been with them for years. The owner started out in heating and air work, crawling through attics and under houses to run ductwork, and noticed the same thing every summer: wherever the air sat wet, something grew. More than 30 years later, mold is the whole job.
We do about 150 mold jobs a year, most of them under the house, and we've worked in more than 2,000 crawl spaces across East Tennessee. The owner still goes under himself. Every job gets plastic containment and HEPA air scrubbers, every quote is in writing, and our crawl space encapsulation carries a transferable lifetime guarantee. You also get a written moisture log, the reading at every spot we tested, before and after, so you can see for yourself that it's dry.
Why so fussy about water? Knoxville's relative humidity averages about 71 percent over a year and closer to 76 in August, according to NOAA's numbers. Mold needs moisture and not much else. In our experience, clean the mold without fixing the leak, the bath fan or the downspout, and you'll be calling someone again in two years. We'd rather point out your gutter problem for free than sell you the same cleanup twice.

How We Work
Water first
We find the leak, the fan or the vent feeding the mold before anything gets cleaned. If we can't name the source, we keep looking. We won't start the cleanup until the leak is fixed or on the schedule.
Honest advice
A patch smaller than a bath towel on tile or paint is a weekend job for you, and we'll tell you how to do it. Not every crawl space needs encapsulation either. We say so, even when the bigger job pays us more.
Clean work
Plastic walls up before anything comes down, HEPA air scrubbers running till the end, and a post-remediation evaluation before we pack the truck. We text you photos from under the house so you see what we see.
